Crown Prince Honors Leaders Participating in the Conference of the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought
Al-Taj News – On behalf of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Deputy King and Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II on Wednesday honored a number of leaders participating in the proceedings of the 19th conference of the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought, in recognition of their exceptional efforts in serving the Islamic nation.
During the honoring ceremony, held at Al Husseiniya Palace, the Crown Prince presented royal orders to a number of scholars, in the presence of Prince Hashim bin Al Hussein, and Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, His Majesty the King’s Chief Adviser for Religious and Cultural Affairs, His Majesty’s personal envoy, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought.
The Crown Prince presented Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayyah of the United Arab Emirates with the Order of the Renaissance, Grand Cordon, and presented the Order of King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein for Excellence, Grand Cordon, to Professor Othman Bakr of Malaysia, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud Al Siyabi of the Sultanate of Oman, and Professor Ahmed Shawqi Binbin of Morocco.
He also presented membership certificates in the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought to Islamic scholar and jurist and Secretary-General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy in Jeddah, Dr. Qutb Sano; Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites, Dr. Mohammad Al Khalayleh; holder of the Imam Al-Suyuti Chair, Dr. Abdulrahman Amoura; holder of the Imam Al-Ghazali Chair, Dr. Mustafa Abu Sway; holder of the Imam Al-Nawawi Chair, Dr. Ahmad Al-Zoubi; holder of the Imam Al-Razi Chair, Dr. Farouk Hassan; physician and Islamic thinker Dr. Mustafa Badawi; and researcher and academic specializing in Islamic studies and Sufism, Dr. Dania Rashitch.
The 19th conference of the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought, being held in Amman over three days under the title “The Nation’s Priorities in the Next Twenty-Five Years (2026–2050),” aims to bring together a group of leading scholars and researchers from various Islamic schools of thought and countries around the world to discuss contemporary Islamic issues and provide insights and solutions.
More than 70 scholars from the Royal Aal al-Bayt Academy are participating in the conference, representing Islamic institutions from all schools, denominations, and intellectual trends of Islam across 30 countries.
The honoring ceremony was attended by Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Hassan Al Issawi, and Director of the Crown Prince’s Office Zaid Al Baqaeen.
